The company claims the in-ear headphone has 40 hours of playtime. But it delivered over 38 hours of playtime including voice calls and video calls. And that’s very good battery life. Isn’t it?
The boAt has been enjoying the largest pie of share in the audio market segment over a few years and is still the leader. All credit to its very popular known delivery of sound quality and great bass.
The IPX7 rated sweat and water resistance functionality performed quite well for me to protect the earphone from sweat and light drizzle.
Another feature that caught my eyeballs is its fast charge feature. I managed to play and listen to music for about 8 hours after 10 hours of charging. It indeed sounds very good.
The boAt Rockerz 255 Pro plus neckband headphones are equipped with control buttons for smooth and easy access to multiple functions. The magnetic earbuds deliver tangle-free listening and user experience.
I did use these earphones in a couple of outdoor activities and traveling and commuting. And these headphones did fine for isolating external noise.

But I also submit that I didn’t feel much lag in the boom. That’s fine!

What makes me a little annoyed is that I am not quite able to make customization with Sony’s Headphones Connect app. And this is a compatibility issue.

The earbuds are connected to the neckband with a rubber-coated wire. The device is very light and weighs only about 23 grams.
The neck tape fits comfortably on the collar without any discomfort or irritation. It feels pretty sturdy, so you don’t have to worry about durability.

The headphones deliver rich sound with thumping bass, great battery life, and comfort.
At first look, you might get illuded that the Realme Buds wirelesses are a rebranded Oppo Enco headset or a new color scheme of the OnePlus Bullets.
However, this is not really the case. This is a completely different device and that’s why I am putting together my experience here.
Opening up the box and holding the neckband in my hand- what really impressed me is the Realme Buds Wireless has a flexible silica gel arc and also a nickel-titanium alloy for the buttons and battery area.
I am very happy to see the responsive Realme branded button in the middle of the volume. Just press it to answer the call.
Realme may also dismay you because it doesn’t offer a great noise-canceling solution, which can cause problems when using your phone outdoors. That’s fine for me.
I didn’t find any lag inside. These devices act as very good companions for outdoor activities. So, I take them to the park when I go for a walk.
All casual runners will have no problem with arches, neck sitting, or real buds. The earphones are IPX4 rated for sweat and dust protection.
Realme promised 12 hours of playback on a full charge, and it was delivered. You can easily listen to music for half a day via Bluetooth.
However, I achieved this when the volume was around 80%. At 100% maximum volume, sound transmission is very loud and deaf in the long run.
Even moderately noisy environments can be uncomfortable for those around you. Another reason the headphones feel comfortable is that the silicone earbuds are very soft and fit snugly in the ears.
There are extra wingtips that are great for training. The wings fit into shallow pits in the ears, and the buds stay firmly in place even when you sharply move your head.
Realme Buds Wireless are easy to connect, easy to use, and deliver a comfortable all-around sound.

Redmi Sonicbass delivers very good dual MIC quality. There is noticeable background noise cancellation. Dual connectivity lets you connect 2 devices simultaneously. Neckband headphones have good bass and 12 hours of playtime.
When I got this pair of Redmi Sonicbass neckband headphones from my office colleague in exchange for my Oneplus Bullets Z2, I felt the design was just fine.
Frankly, I didn’t find a lot to talk about the Redmi SonicBass Wireless neckband. The neckband bends back and has a large, sturdy end that houses Bluetooth hardware, battery, and audio circuitry.
The left side has a barely noticeable Redmi logo engraved on it, while the right side has the power and volume buttons along with a micro USB charging port, and an indicator light.
The earphones were comfortable to wear, but the cables running between the earbuds and the neckband got in the way and brushed my face, and created ample cable noise.
The main button plays and pauses music or answers and ends calls with a single touch. You can call the standard voice assistant on your smartphone with a double press.
A long press will turn the headphones on and off. To put the headphones in pairing mode, I had to hold the device for a few more seconds.
There is an effective control that sticks and holds the earbuds stick to each other. This prevents the wires from getting tangled when not in use.
The device itself suggests that the Redmi Sonicbass is made to deliver sound and a mic. And indeed, there are no surprises here.
The sound signature has been tuned to add pop to the low end, I could detect this bass distortion in almost everything I heard through the Redmi SonicBass earbuds.
However, there is not much to get overexcited in the sound other than a bump in the bass. Otherwise, this is a normal-sounding headphone.
Certainly, you don’t need to shell out big bucks. The Redmi SonicBass only supports the SBC Bluetooth codec, so the quality of the source audio had little effect on the listening experience.
In my opinion, Xiaomi did a very good job with Redmi SonicBass. This is a pair of fully functional wireless headphones that get all basics right.
I feel the fit and design are practical, the powerful bass is appealing. And I am sure, it will appeal to you too.

What struck me at the first sight was its design. The design is really appealing and loved to take note of it.
I actually saw many neckbands for quite some time. However, none of these seemed as attractive and elegant, and top class as this one.
I understand the manufacturers don`t appear to pay a lot of heed to the layout of the neckbands. But it appears Noise put a lot of effort into Flair neckband’s layout.
There is an excellent combination of colors that delivers the splendor of the neckband. There are six color variants you can choose from.
I got a pair of stone blue for testing and to share the best user experience with my readers and viewers.
The Noise Flair earphones have a very good battery life of 35 hours. This is an excellent playtime they offer.
However, there is a catch, the actual playtime I could manage is over 34 hours on a single charge. Interestingly, I really don’t remember correctly when I did charge the headphones last time.
In addition, the earphone features fast charge capabilities. I could fully charge the in-ear headsets in just over one hour. This is very impressive in the neckband headphones segment.
The neckband earphones are equipped with 10m audio divers. These are excellently designed to deliver great bass output.

But it also has a downside. The bass sound is good to listen up to the volume of 50 percent. To test the efficacy, I increased the volume to the maximum.
At this level, the sound gets squeaky and gives an unpleasant listening experience. Therefore, listening to music at full volume may not very good experience.
The earbuds are made with premium silicon material. This makes them very comfortable to wear even for a whole day.
Microphones did a very good job as long I was using the headphones indoors. But these are not very good at isolating external noise.
In totality, the microphone quality is good and did a fair job for me.

I don’t feel the design and build of the Boult Audio ZCharge is very exceptional. It looks average build. The plastic material used feels a little cheap for me.
But I am okay with it because it’s a bass lover’s choice. The neckband headphones are available in multiple color variants., red/black, red/blue, or completely black.
The neckband is very flexible and will return to its original shape even if it is twisted or bent too hard.
The earbuds are attached to a wire that runs along the neckband for a latitude adjustment. The ends of the neckband terminate in two plastic modules where there are battery and playback controls.
The left module has a flap-covered micro USB port, a microphone, a battery LED, and three buttons for power and volume control.
I didn’t notice a vibration motor for the alarm with this model, as I saw in the old Curb model. The Boult Audio ZCharge drivers are equipped with neodymium magnets.
The Boult Audio ZCharge neckband headset is powered by Qualcomm’s CSR8635 Bluetooth chip that uses Bluetooth 5 to connect to the source device.
It supports Qualcomm’s cVc noise cancellation technology for voice calls. The in-ear headsets deliver multi-point connectivity, allowing ProBass to be paired with two devices simultaneously.
However, in certain occasions, I have to struggle because the headphones don’t connect to the second device. Also, the range of frequencies the device can handle is no clearly defined.
The earphone has IPX5 rated moisture and sweat resistance feature. This works perfectly well.
The Boult Audio ZCharge is tuned to deliver punchy bass, and this is one area where it performs exceptionally well.
I am impressed that there is no distortion even at high volumes. Vocals are rich and always sound like they’re coming from front and center.
The midrange is generally decent, but complex tracks are overwhelming the highs and lows overwhelm many of the background instruments.
The highs sounded a bit squeaky when the volume increased to the maximum. But this isn’t a consistent issue on other tracks.
The call quality is pretty good too. Even in a noisy environment, I had no issues with my voice and the person on other end.
The passive noise isolation from the earbuds is very good but there is a little leakage when the volume is increased up to near maximum level, say 80%.

OPPO Enco M32 neckbands deliver very good call quality. The neckband headsets have 28 hours of life. These in-ear headphones deliver 20 hours of music with 10 minutes charge. These are equipped with IP55 water, dust, and sweat resistant.
The Oppo Enco M32 neckband headphones are a very good option if your priority is call quality.
The design makes a statement with a subtly understated aesthetic that focuses on comfort and ease of use. It is black only and has the Oppo logo on the left neckband module.
Like most headsets of this form factor, the neckband is flexible and can be twisted significantly without much risk of getting it snapped or broken.
The headset is also dust and water-resistant with an IP55 rating. Thanks to the canal fit, the earbuds are very comfortable to wear.
The Oppo Enco M32 neckband also provides a reasonable noise isolation seal. There is a pre-installed removable rubber grip Inside each earpiece to hold your inner ear in place while you’re wearing the headset.
I am pretty impressed to see these can be removed for cleaning. I believe this is a very very smart design choice of work
The glossy finish on the outer portion of the earbuds and the reflective silver magnet zone looks pretty decent.
The package I received includes 3 pairs of silicone ear tips and a USB Type-C charging cable. But no extra ear grips.
The Oppo Enco M32’s focus is on getting the basics right, and the headset is very good when it comes to sound quality and voice call performance.
The AAC Bluetooth codec support does its job quite well. And I didn’t encounter any connection stability issues while using the headset.
These neckband headsets can get quite loud and were comfortable indoors even at an average volume.
When I turned the in-ear headsets to around 60% volume, I felt there was a little more attack on the sound.
However, setting it above that, it tended to become uncomfortably loud or a little distorted or weak to the sound.
The sound is energetic and lively, and the earphones deliver a comfortable fit and have good battery life.
Fast charging is a particularly handy and useful feature. Though the company claims 20 hours of playtime with 10 minutes charge, I managed to get a little over 17 hours.
The outdoor performance of the Enco M32 is as impressive as talked about. The Sound lacks detail and call quality is a little spotty outdoors.
But overall the headset delivers what you can expect at this price tag.
11. Sennheiser CX 120BT– Most Comfortable Neckband Headphones
Sennheiser CX 120BT delivers comfort for wearing. Neckbands are equipped with aptX and SBC codecs. The headsets provide a mediocre 6 hours of battery life. These earphones have intuitive control buttons.
The Sennheiser CX 120BT headphones are my favorites. I am generally enthusiastic about Sennheiser audio products and their sound quality.
When I learned about the launch of the affordable CX-120BT wireless headphones, I was pretty excited
I realized the company was cutting across certain features to keep the price down, but I’m sure its support for Qualcomm’s aptX codec was a welcome addition in this segment.
Normally the headphone makers don’t provide more than 6 months or at the best more than 1 year’s warranty.
Interestingly the Sennheiser CX 120BT offers a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty.

The Sennheiser CX-120BT has a slightly different look compared to most wireless neckbands on the market.
There is one earbud and battery module on one end, and a second earbud and control case on the other end.
The two are connected by a thin cable that goes around the back of the neck. The cable is very thin and hardly suitable as a neckband. It’s like a string.
A small slider lets you adjust the length of the cable for a comfortable fit. There’s a lot of Sennheiser branding throughout the product, but it doesn’t look ugly.
I tried and tested different audio tracks and videos on these headphones to test their responses to different music genres and sound reproductions.
The CX-120BT is a little different than other neckband wireless earbuds, but it doesn’t look bad at all. In fact, the black body with the Sennheiser logo with touches of red and silver adds a touch of luxury.
Despite being a budget headphone, the company has improved its throughput over Bluetooth, including support for Qualcomm’s aptX codec.
It also supports the aptX Low Latency codec which minimizes the delay between audio and video.
However, I must submit that supporting these codecs alone does not guarantee good sound output.
You can hear the caller clearly. But it doesn’t completely block environmental noise. Indoor call quality is very good.
The Bluetooth range of the CX-120BT neckband headphones didn’t much impress me. Going farther away from the 5-meter range starts lagging connectivity.
